Adults Only.....Wine Dinner Time

We had a wine dinner planned this past weekend with a group of friends, two of the three couples were unable to join us (& they were missed), so it ended up being Jon & Jessie and Doug & I... We had a wonderful dinner, then AWESOME cheesecake and of course wine to go with it all! We sat out on the deck and chatted afterwards and enjoyed the company....

OK - I could caption each of the pictures... But with how much fun that we had, they speak for themselves... So enjoy!

Frisbee Golf

Last week, Alex asked me if we could go play frisbee golf in NKC at Water Works Park. So we went.... After walking 7 holes - UP and DOWN BBBBIIIIGGGG hills, I took Braydon to swing.... We did have a lot of fun and I am looking forward to going again with the boys, but I will be wearing the tennis shoes instead of flip flops! It was lots of FUN & the best part was it was free!

ZOO

We took Braydon to the KC Zoo on Saturday. We all had fun and enjoyed seeing the animal's!

The tiger kinda worried me.... He was looking at Braydon & Doug, thinking,,,,mmmmm, you both look real good, now come a bit closer..... But I saved the day and had them move on after I got the evidence on camera, just in case they came up missing later!

Then there were the monkey's.... They were really quite lazy and tried talking Braydon into the cage to curl up for a nap, but mommy said no, it is time for us to go.... So as we were heading out we saw the gorilla's getting their afternoon snack, which they would not share with us.... So we started heading to the Ward Zoo and all had our own snack from those good ol' golden arches on the way and then once we got to our zoo it was nap time for us!

4th of July

FOURTH OF JULY!!!
Well, this was Braydon's actual third July 4th, but was his first that he actually was awake for and actually participated in... He did his first sparkler, thought it was neat at first and then as it burned down, did not want it anymore. He did NOT like firecrackers, he jumped almost every time they exploded. He did watch the fountains and the pretty ones and seemed to enjoy them and watching the older kids with their sparklers.

We started the evening off with some early evening fireworks, with the light rain that moved thru the area! We then we had a nice BBQ dinner with the neighbors next door, then set off some more fireworks and then topped the night off with GOOD OL' HOMEMADE ICE CREAM in three different flavors! After all was said and done everyone here still has ten fingers, which is a good thing! Alex & Andrew were with their dad this year, So until next year!
